Wedding Songs For Cards

Wedding Songs!?

I can not choose songs. I thought it would be a cute idea to ask my guests for their suggestions. I want to put a note in the invitations for suggestions and a line on the RSVP card where guests can write their suggestions.

It would be something like this (at the bottom of the map RSVP)

Song Suggestion :_____________________________

Would it be considered tacky? I will have a semi-formal, traditional Catholic wedding. Would it be offensive or tacky or cute?

"I do not know much, but I know that I love you" (L. Richie)

It is your day! You can do what you want. But a nice veriation of this would be to put it as a competition. Like, "Choose your favorite song, and you could win a dance with the bride / groom!" Or something to that effect. It would also use up some time at the reception so that no one is just sitting around watching others dance or get drunk, you know? Just something to think about. I think your idea is very cute. Whatever makes custom makes it fun and memorable. Good luck!

Well, if you want my personal opinion - Get a DJ who knows what he's doing!
I was a DJ for over 20 years and a lot of weddings, parties, formal dinners, etc. etc.
The only song the DJ needs to know, is the first dance of the bride and groom.
Any reputable DJ will be able to read the crowd and have a large collection of music and varied to cover all occasions.
A DJ who wants to be invited to choose the music in advance, and will not do requests, I am sorry to say, I think this guy will ruin your big day for you, find someone else.

OMG that is a good idea indeed! I do not understand how this is offensive, but if I were you, I would choose one and not ask people for anything, because I'm that kind of person who likes to plan things to Z

is a song suggestion Daniel Beddingfield - if you're not alone

I think it's a great idea! It's really cute, but I would put a sentence or two about this type of song you're looking for, people might think you're just taking requests for the reception. It's a great idea and I hope you get some good suggestions!

(Mine is "Yellow" by Coldplay ")

is a great idea.
I was at a wedding recently had a large list of songs on each table that the bride and groom had pre-prepared and given to DJ. so that customers could request songs, the bride and groom loved. it really worked well. He may need time to prepare, but you will know for sure you is not gettin no bad request.

my suggestion would be for the first dance Beach Boys - God only knows

¸ ¸. aec ¨ I would not do for the wedding invitation.
If you have a DJ, a card on the table that says please let the DJ know if you have a song you hear and want him / her to take requests.

Honestly, I find that tacky. Guests may make you look like your lazy. I know that planning a wedding has to be the most stressful thing for a woman's life (ha ha), but you should really know what the music of these people want to hear. Not the dimension you can still have applications! but the thing the card is a bit much

I've never heard of doing that before. But hey it's your special day, if you do what you want to do and do not let anyone tell you about him. Also, when I got married in 1999, my wedding song was Keeper of the Stars by Tracy Byrd. Good luck and best wishes!

It's a wonderful idea! I wish I would have thought we had a hard time picking songs.

During the ceremony of lighting the candles we had a teenager in the family game "You and Me" by Lifehouse on their guitar, it was so beautiful.

I think it's good for.
