Virtual Greeting Card

Why using custom postcards can never go wrong

Here's a typical scenario:
You are about to go home from work and then you suddenly realize you forgot that your wife or husband's birthday today. It can also be another occasion like a birthday or maybe your child's birthday or family member of others.
How do you manage to get a gift and a greeting card color quickly? Chances are the paper mills and bookstores are close to the fence, and you're not even sure if they have the right kind of greeting card. The solution to this dilemma is simple.
You can use custom postcards. While you are still on-site office or work, you can simply print greeting cards yourself. You can even make custom postcards that have significant special pictures and messages that will add a personal touch to your card.

This personal touch is what ensures the greeting card to its success. You can never go wrong with a personal greeting from your friend in the greeting card will be in touch immediately with your message. Your message will not appear as the plant and made mass-produced feature gibberish. It will also be heart-warming and thoughtful letter as a personal well done. Of course, it also has the advantage side like a business card greeting.

Now of course you have to make this greeting card first. It is easy to do and you will not need a Master of nothing to create it. All you need is your computer, some pictures of you and your loved one and perhaps a scanner.

Most offices should have a scanner so you should be all set. Just look through your wallet or an office desktop and select the image you can use for your greeting cards. Usually, the best of them are images of your loved one and yourself of course too. Use your scanner to scan your image into the computer. Of course, if you have digital photos of your loved ones already in your digital camera, then you can skip this step and navigate through the images instead.

Once you have the image, fire up the imaging software in your computer. You can use something like Adobe Photoshop or InDesign, CorelDraw and QuarkExpress, if you are a bit of a professional. If you're new to all this graphic design, you can use simpler tools such as Microsoft Paint or Draw OpenOffice.org 's. Whatever the case is, open your image file using this software. Once it is loaded up, all you need do is add the special message in front of the open image. Usually, you should see a text "T" icon where you can add text to your image. Be sure to layout right, and it is nice and "as a greeting card." Once you have the image and message, you are almost set. Just set your dimensions to ensure that your image occupies half a letter size paper in landscape orientation. So it should be about 5.5x8.5 inches.

Once you have set your image size, its time to print the greeting card. Just put some special papers (perhaps try one of these glossy or thicker in the office) on the printer and start printing. Make sure the printer is configured to print the image on the left side of the sheet so you can fold it in the style of greeting card.

Once the printed word, the bend and you're done. This should take you less than an hour and it should be less than the time required for a futile search for a generic greeting card. Once you give your custom greeting cards for your beloved, it is sure to be appreciated and loved. So go ahead, try it at the next special occasion!
