Amy Smilovic, the woman behind the fashion label Tibi, began in fashion design when she and her husband (both work for American Express at the time) were transferred to Hong Kong. When she learned she would be reporting to her husband in this new role, she decided she needed a change. Tibi was born in 1997 and is now a major label carried in stores like Saks and Bloomingdales. "I'm really a fantastic customer," says Smilovic. "It's about buying things that reflect where I am in the moment."
