What are the steps to take when opening your own paper / magazine Paper?

I'm thinking of opening my own stationery store that sells personalized invitations, announcements, note cards by hand, photo albums and stationery.
Can you give me some advice on opening this business?

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business and industry you are interested in.

I recommend checking the SBA, Entrepreneur, startup Journal & Nolo. All four are great informational resources for the new business owner / small. I posted links for you in the source area.

Associations may be a good way to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you have necessarily as well as many you have not planned yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research - this can not be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* Start and operate a profitable retail by Jim Dion, Ted Topping
* Retail Kit for Dummies by Rick Segel
* Distribution specialty shop: how to manage your own store Revised by Carol L. Schroeder
* So you want to own the store: Secrets of a successful operation of the film by Mort Brown Retail

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the box of links to source articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success and happiness in all your projects!

I'm glad my answer helped you. Thank you for the best answer vote!
