What should I wear for my wedding American Muslim? I'm getting married to a black American Muslim man. I am a Christian. We will have a ceremony at the mosque. What should I wear? Guests and? Do they have to cover their heads too? I was told you are sitting in chairs or on the floor so as not to wear your traditional white wedding dress. How does an American Muslim working wedding ceremony in a Muslim mosque in black America? Im trying to learn it a bit on my own.
Why not ask your mother in law? She knows, and could appreciate being asked for advice.
I hope you two have discussed what religion you raise your children, btw. I think the position of Islam is that children follow the religion of their father by default, which is why Muslim men are allowed to marry "infidel" and Muslim women are not. Well, that sexism and old-fashioned.
I have a great resource for you when it comes to planning a wedding Muslim http://muslim.weddings.com/
Here's an excellent article on the traditions of Muslim marriage: http://muslim.weddings.com/articles/musl ...
Here is another article Muslim wedding traditions useful http://muslim.weddings.com/articles/musl ...
