Can a nursing home, home value cards by children for residents? I have two young children and nearly 8 9. They love to make greeting cards or decorating store bought cards. Can a nursing home enjoy some of these for residents? If children sign their own name or just say a friend because they do not know the residents. Also, if you can not make a card for each resident a better than nothing or should it be all or nothing. I do not know how many local residents at home but it is much.
They could make cards for birthdays, I guess, or just thinking of you, seasonal or holiday cards.
Thank you in advance for your reply. :)
Maybe you could make a generic birthday cards (many of them) to give nurses. Then they could distribute as needed for residents who could be forgotten on their birthday. Good luck!
Adults in the nursing home love things like that. They love the cards, visits, thoughtfully. Many schools and churches make / buy maps, visit the elderly, sing or play games, and it is really appreciated. I think you should talk with the nursing home and tell them what your children want to do, and they can help something to work, if the cards of his birthdays, holidays, or at any time. I think it's great that you and your children are thinking of the elderly in your community.
which is quite a. thoughtful and rewarding for the residents and children I would like them to sign their names as it makes it more of a personal thing ... tell them to keep up the good work, seniors are now more than ever forgotten
Any card in the hand of a child is a wonderful thing for a single person. Anniversary is a big thing with nursing homes, too. Some are better than nothing. You can always ask the nursing station where residents feel down and need something to brighten their day. Other cards could be addressed "To all the lovely ladies on the service? "The fine gentlemen of the parish?" These cover more people. By all means have the kids sign the cards. If you let the delivery personally, it would mean even more. I saw old eyes light up just at the sight of a child. A child with their smile, makes their heart's content.
