Inexpensive Save The Date Cards

What are your tips wedding cost reduction?

My fiance and I have a budget of $ 10 000 for our wedding for 150 guests. We can not cut the list any more because my husband has a big family and there would be a lot of hurt feelings and a major scandal, if we excluded anyone else. I also want it to be a nice marriage. A Backyard Cook-off or a cocktail cheapo does not appeal to me (and would not be fair to the guest who travel far from our special day!). I think I can remove it, I just need to go out every trick in the book!

Here's what we got so far:

I find a beautiful banquet room that will cost between $ 4,000 - $ 5,000 for 150 people. This includes decorations, food, set up and remove, cake cutting, champagne for toasts, etc. However, it will be a cash bar.

My uncle-fianced is a professional DJ, and DJ our reception as a wedding gift.

Family, my boyfriend has a close friend who is a professional photographer, that will only make us pay for copies of our photos.

-A cousin works in a cake decorating shop and can give us a great price on a wedding cake (although I can find an even cheaper option).

My father is a minister fianced. He will get married in his church to not have to worry about paying the officiant or rent a place ceremony.

-I am wedding dresses in stores, then buy the dress I like online savings of 50%. I had friends who have done this with a particular company and have had great success.

-I will be baking sugar cookies with a pastry cover (wedding bells) and decorate them with our initials and wedding date, and use them as wedding favors.

-I want to make my own flower arrangements and bouquets, but I need to find a good wholesale wedding flowers silk or real (preferably silk if I can make them ahead of time to save me from stress)

-I plan to make my own centerpieces, but I'm not very creative so I need ideas that will not break the bank!

-I hope to make my own wedding invitations and programs, but I need a place that will sell cheap cardstock and pleasant, envelopes, program!

-I will have people RSVP by phone or email to save me money on the response cards and postage.

Could someone help me with what I have so much? Or does anyone have any advice other cost savings? Thank you. :)

Wow .... I think you covered a lot. Anyway, my advice to you is to look out on Friday and hit the service holiday. All kinds of paper decorations, candles, stationary and such will be on sale. I was in Pier 1 a few days ago and they had lots of stuff for 30% -50% and I'm sure they will mark them even lower. A majority of the substance has a strong holiday theme, but there are many things that can be used all year as well. I suggest using the gold / red or gold / black as your color? Many holiday candles and stationary will be a gold color, but not the theme of Christmas or holiday specific. Just look more festive than nothing. But you could definetely get away with using it for your wedding.

Look for additional coupons in the newspaper or even online.

I think you could make your stationary, mistresses and favors for less than $ 1,000 or less.

instead of all get their own plate have a buffet! Franks cocktail meatballs, a little of everything. it went really well with my wedding and we had over 300 hundred guests were still some leftovers!

Go to Vegas and run away. You will be happier in the long term.

You are a good start to think about ways to save. I encourage you to sit down and budget your wedding now. Think about where you can cut corners and where you want to spend more.
