What Label Business Card Mean? Business cards are an important marketing tool for any business owner. They are used in business meetings as an introduction and left with potential customers as a way to get your foot in the door. People give them away when someone needs their contact information and business cards should be used often and as needed to promote and do business.
But what does the label cards mean? Many times a business card is the first impression a potential customer has of you and your business. It is therefore extremely important that the card is correct and it is clean. It should be easy to read with no scratched or written on its surface. It reflects your personality and should breathe the quality of products or services you provide.
A business card should be treated with the respect that you treat the person to give it to you. Do not throw it away suddenly and place without looking. Read it when it is handed to you. Watch it and leave it so that you can refer to the information on it if needed during your meeting. Most business cards are exchanged times when people first meet, but sometimes circumstances do not permit that so wait until it is appropriate to do so.
The label business card also says that you should never include business cards with a thank you note or a letter of congratulations or other personal note. It should not be given to a funeral events or other serious when people's thoughts are on totally different subjects. If someone asks for your card, then it is permissible - but otherwise keep them in your pocket.
Always be prepared with enough business cards - including extras - when attending any type of business meeting, conference or seminar. Chances are there will be more people there that you had not anticipated. If you do, however, more cards, make sure you get contact information for people who have not received one and have a card sent to them later.
It is important to resist the temptation to simply put your business cards in bulk at certain events. Remember, good timing is essential to distribute them to appropriate meetings and locations. The reputation of your business and your own reputation may suffer if you try to "do business" at the time and place inappropriate.
