Dhadkan (Hindi: à¤sड़कन, Urdu: دھڑÚcÙ†) (in English: Heartbeat) is a Bollywood film which deals with the love triangle of Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty and Sunil Shetty. Sunil Shetty won a Filmfare Award Best Villain for his performance. Dhadkan is about Anjali (Shilpa Shetty) who is a girl who comes from an extremely wealthy and influential family. His father Mr. Chauhan (Kiran Kumar) is a renowned businessman and has many dreams for her daughter. But Anjali is in love with Dev (Sunil Shetty) who is very poor and often can not even afford to dress properly. Dev also loves and wants to marry Anjali has to meet his father. When Anjali puts forward the proposal to his parents to marry Dev is reprimanded and meets a refusal because they could not accept Dev. Moreover, his parents chose for her a rich suitor of Delhi. Not wanting to hurt her parents finally gave Anjali to their desires and marries Ram (Akshay Kumar) who his parents are believed to be a perfect match for her. Ram is a man of high ideals, who believes in giving a legitimate place to his wife and respects its sensitivity. But despite this, he is unable to win the love of Anjali in the first and their marriage is on the edge. However, after seeing the magnanimity of her husband's heart by forgiving and accepting, she realizes she has fallen in love with him. For three years, Anjali leads a life of happiness and becomes an ideal wife. But suddenly, on their third wedding anniversary, Dev returns and intends to win back Anjali. Dev is now a wealthy businessman and now Anjali finds himself at the crossroads where it must fight for her husband with her former lover. But Anjali is now in love with her husband and has no desire to return to his old love. When Dev realizes she does not want to come back to him, he intends to ruin his life. But the truth wins at the end when Anjali says she is pregnant Dev Ram. Dev realizes his folly and accept his friend and business partner Sheetal Verma (Mahima Chaudhry) as his life partner, as she secretly loved.
