Children's Thank You Notes

Signed affidavit of paternity on the birth cetificate amendment

I need to change my child's birth certificate include the name of the father o,
But my father does not live baby in the U.S. and would not come over either.
Anyone know if it is acceptable if I can get the notarized affidavit of paternity in the country where my partner lives or is there another way I could go about it coz I have to take my child back to him in the Africa and its inportant that the birth father's name certm said about this? Thank you
Pls note dat my child is just a month and we live in Alabama.

I would like to contact the Public Records (birth certificates) for your condition. My best guess is that it must be notarized to be legal here. Laws in Africa can be completely different and if your child was born in Alabama you want to be assured that your documents are legal.

This sort of thing can get reported by Homeland Security.

You can try to make it through the courts, but expect a lot of paperwork.
