Personalize your wedding Personalize your wedding
Your wedding is your chance to throw a fantastic party for all your wedding guests and is very popular to include "personal touch" with your decorations.
Many couples have a theme or color scheme, which is incorporated into the day with subtle touches such as flowers, chair covers, wedding stationery and bridesmaids and even your choice of menu.
Stationary Front
To add a personal touch to your reception why not make the hand of your menu, place cards, table plans and table numbers? Many couples include a theme in their paper. For example one couple got engaged in New York and therefore had their color scheme as black and white, their reception tables were named after the famous landmarks of New York and the table plan included images of these monuments. It was a pleasant, as all the guests knew they had got engaged in New York and enjoyed the theme. Another couple enjoyed their candy so they included in their present day with images of candy printed on their stationery, with tables named after different candies and place a bowl of candy on each table for the favor. If you do not have a particular theme, it does not mean that your party can not be customized, you can still do it using your color scheme on all items including your wedding cake!
Favors
A popular way to customize wedding reception is through the favor. There were many couples who have their own favor, as do the gingerbread men to go with their theme Bonfire Night or a mulled wine when their marriage was in the winter.
If you prefer you can provide small lavender sachets or bath products (you can even make your own bath bombs).
I have been to several weddings where the favors were very personal for the couple. A wedding I went to the bride grew up in Spain, but had returned to England she had traditional Spanish favors pearl pin. Another wedding I went to the bride was brought to Wales and therefore all traditional Welsh love spoons.
Decoration
There are several ways you can decorate your wedding reception hall. There may be a stunning focal point of the room where you can highlight and also incorporate your flowers to say that there may be columns in the room who may have some ivy, lights and some of your flowers Wedding pinned or it could be something as simple as tying the ribbon around the napkins on the tables of your color scheme.
However you decide to customize your reception just remember to add the touches that are important to you both.
