What graphics card will work in my pc? I have an HP Compaq dc5700 Microtower, and I want to know what graphics card works in it, I have a PCI-E 16x slot in it which only supports ADD2 interface, I have 256 graphics embedded on it, but I want more power, I can not find anywhere ADD2 cards
Not sure, it must also fit into the case, if you talk in general, perhaps a gtx 560 ti, but it would not fit in this case, look in the HD 5450 I guess if you do not need for games, for games I would get something on the level of a HD 5770
You have one full size PCI-E, but I think it only works x1. o well, cpu is a bit slow so you probably will not saturate.
Take a 5670 GT or 440.

Hi Colin
Yes, ADD2 cards are extremely difficult to find, however, I managed to find one to http://www.kikatek.com/product_info.php? ... .. but it is the graphics core with support 3d little or no if they are not good for running the latest games
But you have a standard PCI slot .. and there are some cards that can avalible in this type of bus ... and one of the best is the "PNY 8400GS 512MB GDDR2 DVI VGA PCI Graphics Card Out" ( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167833?utm ... ) ... is a direct x 10.1 pixel map and supports shader model 4.1 and ... and specifications include a core clock 567mhz and 512 MB of DDR2 memory clocked at 1000MHz DDR effective
compared to what you can get in the interfaces of add2 GeForce 8400 is actually quite good and will be able to run some games at low to medium details ... But the latest games will be limited to low detail settings
I notice that your PC has a 300W power supply and it is more than enough to run the GeForce 8400GS .... you can find a complete list of specifications for the HP Compaq dc5700 at http://h10010.www1.hp. com / wwpc / ca / en / sm / ...
there are other PCI graphics cards and one thats worth checking out the "GeForce 9400 GT Graphics Card" ( http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/GeF ... ) ... which is slightly better than the GeForce 8400GS and is about as good as it gets in the PCI bus interface
300W PSU again you will be more than enough to run this card ... and probally all other graphics cards PCI bus .... Note: These cards are "PCI" and not "PCI Express" ... im stating what many people bought cards PCI-Express when I recommended PCI cards ...... so make sure you do not make this mistake
You can also get the GeForce 6200 in the PCI bus interface but it is not as powerful as the 8400 or 9400GT
So in thinking of your pretty limited in choice when looking for a PCI graphics card .... and out of all these cards I recommend the GeForce 9400GT ... in relation to your integrated graphics card, you will see a significant improvement in games and applications ....
GeForce 9400GT has the following specifications:
Core Clock: 550 MHz
Shader Clock: 1400 MHz
Memory Clock: 400 MHz (DDR 800)
Memory Bandwidth: 12.8 GB / s
FLOPS: 67.2 GFLOPS
Pixel Fill Rate: 4400 Mpixels / s.
Texture Fill Rate: 4400 MTexels / sec
I also managed to locate the GeForce 9500GT
