XD memory card format a 2gig? I have a Fujifilm FinePix F470 and it worked great with our concert xD memory card 256 and then bought a concert 2. The 2gig worked for about three weeks and came one morning with "card not initialized". We had this problem before and just formatted the card. The card will not complete the format in the camera and we were informed by Fujifilm not to format the computer. Anyone have this problem? What can we do now?? Help! We can not find the recipe for the return!
xD cards are quite fragile. If fingerprints or other foreign material obtained on the contact cards, this may be causing the problem.
Check the contacts and clean them if necessary, following manufacturers' recommendations. Next verify that the card is not set to the locked position or the switch is placed firmly in the unlocked position. Just for smile, check your old card 256 and see if it still works.
If none of these things, you may have to return to the store where you bought it.

Usually, everyone should format the card in the camera (saves a lot of problems). You could be the first to need to be formatted on the PC.
Also check with the support of Fuji to see if a new BIOS update for the camera can help.
